Trending Hardwood flooring styles! Turn your Crate & Barrel or Ashley Furniture ideas into a custom home reality. H&G Remodel bridges the gap between high-end design inspiration and expert execution.
Have you ever walked through Fred Meyer, Crate & Barrel, Ashley’s Furniture, or Mor Furniture and thought, "I love this look, but how do I make it work in my home?"
It happens to everyone. You get a spark of an idea from a beautiful showroom display or a high-end furniture catalog, but the actual task of renovating your home to match that vision feels overwhelming.
Upgrading your home is a complex process. It requires more than just buying new furniture; it requires a structural and aesthetic "reset" to make sure your new pieces have the perfect environment to shine.
This is where H&G Remodel steps in.
When you find that "perfect idea" at a major retailer, you can easily reach out to our home renovation experts. We take that initial spark and handle the entire upgrade process for you:
Professional Consultation: We help you determine if that "Crate & Barrel look" requires a floor refinish or a complete tile backsplash upgrade to truly work.
Expert Sourcing: We match the quality of those high-end stores with professional materials that last longer and perform better.
Seamless Experience: We manage the "mess" so you can enjoy the "change." Our goal is to make sure your service experience is as beautiful as the final design.
Don't just buy furniture—renovate your lifestyle. Let H&G Remodel turn your "Big Store" ideas into a custom home reality.
At H&G Remodel, we don't just see "jobs"—we see solutions. Whether you are looking for a strategic $5,000 to $10,000 floor refresh to prep a home for sale, or a comprehensive $100,000+ luxury renovation, we have the Answer.
We specialize in scalable remodeling. Our network allows us to provide high-end craftsmanship at every price point, ensuring that your investment—large or small—results in a space that is beautiful, functional, and built to last.
The flooring landscape in 2026 is defined by two things: Sustainability and Speed. Homeowners no longer want to choose between a "tough" finish and a "healthy" home.
As the orchestrator of the Elite Artisan Alliance, H&G Remodel stays ahead of the curve by utilizing:
Next-Gen Finishes: We lead with Bona Traffic GO, a waterborne lacquer that offers 2K durability without the toxic isocyanates of the past.
Smart Sourcing: By partnering with Dunn Lumber, we ensure that the structural sub-flooring is as high-quality as the surface you walk on.
Integrated Tech: From moisture-barrier systems to dustless sanding, we use the best tools of 2026 to keep your home clean and your project on time.
This year, the "sterile" look is out, and Organic Texture is in. We are seeing a massive shift toward materials that feel "touched by nature."
The 2026 Trend Why It’s Popular Pro-Partner Used
Wide-Plank European Oak Creates a sense of space and Epic Hardwood Floors luxury in open-concept homes.
Mixed-Media Transitions Seamlessly blending hardwood Atlantic Tile & Granite with custom tile entryways.
Matte & Ultra-Matte Hides scratches and pet hair while Bona looking like raw, natural wood.
The modern home in 2026 is moving away from "cold grays" and toward Warm, Light, and Luminous palettes.
Warmth is the New Modern: We are specializing in "Honey-Toned" hardwoods and "Clear-Grade" finishes. These light-reflective colors make smaller Pacific Northwest rooms feel expansive and airy during our gray winters.
Natural Stone Integration: Modern luxury is about the "Hard-meets-Soft" look. By pairing light-colored wood floors with bold MSI Surfaces quartz or natural stone, we create a high-contrast, contemporary aesthetic.
Scandi-Minimalism: Using Bona's "Natural" and "White" sealers, we achieve that sought-after Scandinavian look—preserving the pale beauty of the wood while providing a "diamond-hard" protective barrier.
We didn't just join this network; we built it. H&G Remodel recognized that homeowners were tired of the "Big Box" struggle. We created this alliance to bridge the gap between the inspiration you see at stores like Crate & Barrel or Ashley’s Furniture and the technical expertise required to install it correctly.
"We provide the luxury of a $100k transformation, with the efficiency and respect for your budget that every homeowner deserves."
Project Scope: Historic 1920s Residence | Trade Collaboration: H&G Remodel & Bona
The Challenge: Century-old mix of red-white oak floors were extremely worn out and in bad shape.
The Alliance in Action: H&G Remodel managed the structural preparation while using Bona Traffic GO for the final finish. Because Traffic GO features a built-in hardener, we achieved 2K durability with a 3-day full cure, allowing the homeowners to return to their space faster than traditional methods.
The Result: A deep, natural luster that preserves the home’s history with a "diamond-hard" protective shell.
We leverage deep-rooted relationships with local and global leaders to provide our clients with priority stock and "Pro-Tier" pricing.
Dunn Lumber: A Pacific Northwest staple for over 100 years. We partner with Dunn for premium framing lumber, custom millwork, and high-grade cedar, ensuring every structural element of your home is built to last.
Bona: Our exclusive partner for eco-friendly floor finishes. Their next-gen Traffic GO system is Isocyanate and PFAS-free, protecting your family’s indoor air quality.
MSI Surfaces: Direct access to Seattle’s largest slab inventory for quartz and natural stone kitchen and bath renovations.
Modern remodeling requires modern accountability. We utilize these platforms to provide you with peace of mind.
Google Maps: We use Google's local ecosystem to provide real-time updates on our project locations throughout Burien, Renton, and Seattle. Our verified map presence ensures we are a reliable fixture in your community.
Yelp: This is our platform for unfiltered transparency. We encourage all clients to read our detailed history of 5-star reviews, where our reputation for craftsmanship is documented by your neighbors.
YouTube: "Seeing is believing." Our YouTube channel features behind-the-scenes footage of our process—from the application of Bona finishes to the precision of our stone fabrication—so you know exactly what to expect.
"I love this look... but how do I get it into my home?"
We have all been there. You walk through Crate & Barrel https://www.crateandbarrel.com/, Ashley’s Furniture https://www.ashleyfurniture.com/, or Mor Furniture https://www.morfurniture.com/, Fred Meyer https://www.fredmeyer.com/, Costco https://www.costco.com/furniture.html, and you see a room display that perfectly matches your personality. You imagine those pieces in your living room, but you realize your current flooring, lighting, or walls don't quite match the "dream."
Buying the furniture is the easy part. The real task is renovating your home to become the perfect canvas for those new pieces. This requires a structural and aesthetic upgrade that most furniture stores can't provide.
When you find that "perfect idea" at a major retailer, don't let the technical process stop you. H&G Remodel acts as your expert liaison to turn that showroom inspiration into a custom home reality:
Style Synchronization: We help you match your new furniture with the right hardwood stain or stone backsplash to ensure the design is cohesive, not cluttered.
Expert Sourcing: We take the "look" of high-end retailers and build it with professional-grade materials from partners like Dunn Lumber and Bona that are designed to last for decades, not just a few years.
A Stress-Free Process: We manage the "mess" of the renovation so you can enjoy the "change." Our goal is to ensure your service experience is as beautiful as the final result.
Don’t just buy a new look—build a new life. Let H&G Remodel take your "Big Store" ideas and turn them into a professional, high-performance home upgrade.

"In 2024, tile design trends are pointing toward warmer tones in cream, beige, and grey, paired with different size large formats and tonalities to create patterns,” says Jordana Moche, managing director of Porcelanosa NYC. According to Moche, homeowners and professional designers are increasingly drawn to medium and darker wood-effect tile ranges and brown earth-toned flooring. “This creates a warm yet moody design that lends itself towards a hospitality-like feeling inside the residence,” she says.

Larger Footprint
In 2024, designers are predicting that the trend of larger primary bathrooms will only continue. While 75% of those renovating their ensuites keep the same square footage, 25% of homeowners are opting to go bigger. In most cases, the motive for a larger footprint is largely driven by the desire for a larger shower or increased storage.
Smart Toilets
If a toilet that cleans itself is something you’ve been wanting, your wish may not be that far out of reach. Designers are predicting that in a few years, the most requested water closet feature will be a smart toilet, complete with automatic lids, warming seats, and self-cleaning functions.
Backlit Mirrors
A staggering 56% of respondents from the NKAB survey indicated backlit mirrors will be the norm in the coming years.
Curbless Showers
The trend with curbless showers is two-fold, as the design is both great for aging in place and aesthetically pleasing. Seventy percent of designers surveyed by NKAB said curbless showers were their preference and that their clients prefer the seamless look with frameless glass.
Large Format Tile
Grout lines be gone (well, almost)! Homeowners are sick and tired of scrubbing grout lines and as a result, they are opting for large-scale tile with significantly fewer grout lines than smaller-format tile.
Black Fixtures
The color black has majorly been trending ever since the farmhouse movement erupted several years ago. Black fixtures are the most popular choice of color when it comes to bathroom plumbing fixtures, with 51% of designers and homeowners choosing them. Pewter and nickel are also popular, with 45% of survey respondents choosing this finish for bathroom plumbing fixtures.
Wallpaper
It’s hard to ignore how much wallpaper has come back in vogue ever since its sudden exile years ago, but if the survey results from NKAB are any indication of what’s trending, wallpaper is back, and better than ever! Fifty percent of all respondents indicated the best way to add color and personality to a bathroom is through wallpaper, followed by paint, which was chosen by 36% of survey takers as the preferred way to add color to a bathroom.
How much will a bathroom remodel cost in 2024?
According to the latest Cost vs. Value report, an upscale bathroom remodel can cost homeowners as much as $77,261. A bath remodel with a more modest budget can cost upwards of $40,050.
